It is two days before the Cooper River 10K and I just don’t feel ready. My foot hurts and my legs feel heavy. Last time I ran it I trained for it like it was my job. This time, I trained, but I just don’t feel as prepared. I know I didn’t do the speed training like I did the first time around but everything seems to hurt more this time.
So, the bottom line is Saturday is going to be a blast and I will run as fast as I can to get over that bridge. I want to say I am not concerned about the time but I really do want to finish faster. It seems inconceivable that 2 years and 100’s of miles later, at least 30 pounds lighter, that I can’t run it faster! We shall see.
